Trashed Natural Areas
Access to water is one of the basic conditions for the existence of all life on earth. It is also an invaluable resource for all kinds of recreational activities, from picnics by the sea to kayaking and leisurely canoeing. Water bodies may seem immune to human activity, but in fact our choices can have a profound impact on water quality and aquatic life.
The Leave No Trace programme is often called upon to solve problems associated with waterway recreation. On freshwater rivers in Australia, our teams have helped solve water pollution problems through the Leave No Trace outreach program.
