Structured as a train the trainer style course a Leave No Trace Master Educator Course is aimed at educators, Aboriginal land and sea managers, parks and agency staff, guides and tourism operators, teachers, and outdoor recreation group leaders. Each course curriculum can be customised to suit local ecological zones. Students will learn and practice minimal impact skills and ethics in a variety of settings and will learn more about how to teach LNT principles to others within their organisations.
The Master Educator Course requires a minimum of four eight-hour days and at least three nights camping in the field. It does not teach outdoor skills other than those minimal impact skills based on the principles of Leave No Trace.
LNTA issues a Master Educator certificate to a participant if they demonstrate the skills necessary to train LNT Trainers, conduct outreach programs, or otherwise carry forward the Leave No Trace message in a productive way.
As a LNT Masters Course graduate you will be an internationally recognised practitioner in the instruction and teaching of Leave No Trace skills and ethics.
